The Eton Contemporary Fit is a straight, regular fit. This one has darts on the back, makes it slightly more fitted at the waist. If you have a rectangular, athletic body type with broad shoulders, but want a tailored look, consider the Eton Contemporary.

Contemporary fit is our version of the "regular fit" (if you ask us, ours fits better but if you often find that regular is a good fit for you, we recommend Contemporary. 

Contemporary fit dress shirts come with darts in the back for a tailored look, and a great fit to your body type. With extra loose stitches you can easily remove the darts to give the shirt more width. 

We also have contemporary fit knit shirts. Cut from flexible, stretchy jersey or piqué these are cut in a regular silhouette without darts. For the same reason, we have designed them with slightly closer-fitting sleeves. 

The SOFT line is a casual line of shirts made to be worn untucked. Slim fit, but but shorter in the body and somewhat wider over the hip, with no darts.

That's why we have made our Slim fit- knit tailored, but without the darts in the back that out classic shirts have — for a great fit and a comfortable experience. For the same reason, we have made our knit shirts slightly more fitted over the chest and sleeve, and the armhole is placed higher to achieve that slim, but not tight fit.
