The Style of Victor Ramirez

Interview

Victor enters style with the mindset of Italian sprezzatura’, which means to make it appear as if no effort or thought went into it. “Keep it simple,” he says.

“Do whatever makes you feel comfortable and don’t be afraid to take risks.”

Victor is the store manager for NK’s new Eton store in Stockholm. The store has its core in sustainability: the interior is mainly produced using reused/repurposed materials: the floors are made of reused oak, shelves and hangers are created with recycled plexiglass and details in stainless steel.

Inspiration

Victor is inspired by classic styles from the 1920s and 30s. Back then, among other things, men wore three-piece suits with wide lapels and high-rise trousers; narrow striped dress shirts with white or matching collars; long overcoats; Derby and Newsboy caps; Oxford shoes and laced-up boots.

“I’ve always felt strongly about the wonderful style from the 1920s and 30s – the style of an old-fashioned gentleman. It’s elegant and timeless.”

If Victor could dress like any character from a movie, he’d pick the always classy agent with a three-digit number as a name. We’re meeting him in NK’s brand new Eton store in Stockholm, where he is the store manager. As he leads us through the store, he describes the place as a destination for modern style and classic elegance.

“Eton embodies the very elegance that has survived for decades. The things that made us look great then still makes us look great now.”

Besides fashion, Victor is passionate about wine, preferably in the great company of his friends.
